Dr Xavier Bellekens
Dr Xavier Bellekens is a Chancellor’s Fellow Assistant Professor with the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the University of Strathclyde and a Nonresident Fellow of the Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security at the Atlantic Council. His current research interests include critical infrastructure protection, defence as well as cyber deception and deterrence. Xavier is also co-Chair of the IEEE Cyber Science collocated conferences, the Education Cyber-Security Thematic Leader, the Chair of the Blockchain Group and the Vice-Chair of Cyber-Security Group for IEEE UK and Ireland.
He frequently appears in the media to provide commentary to international press – on radio, tv and newspapers on major cyber-events.
